This blog is created for bringing into light the great work done by the Mughals in Lahore. Lahore has always been a heart city for the Mughals of all the eras and earned the title of “Aroos-al-bilaad” meaning the bride among cities and hence proper attention was always paid to this city. Magnificent buildings and monuments stand here which includes the Lahore Fort Baadhshahi mosques (during Aurengzeb Alamgir’s reign), the tomb of Jahangir(the first Gem of Mughal art), Shish Mahal and picture wall in Lahore Fort, chaujburji (by shahjahan’s daughter), Wazir Khan mosque and so many other beautiful buildings. But today, these buildings are not been taken care of. Politicians and Government of Pakistan is not paying any attention towards the preservation and maintenance of this architecture. Wish! They develop a sense of preservation rather than deterioration while publicizing their campaigns. This is the true art and should be respected and should be maintained in the best possible way so that Lahore remains the center of art work by Mughals.

SAAD AND SHEIKH:- This is our history from the times of the Mughals when Muslims ruled the whole of Asia and these monuments show that how skilled people were in that century. they built so many monuments with beautiful interiors that even now are appreciated by the whole world.

we are very lucky to have a huge number of beautiful historic places created by the Mughals. they can attract huge number of tourists but sadly Pakistan has failed to preserve them. they are ina really bad conditions and they need attention.

Something which was never given the amount of importance it needs. this is our heritage,the actual assets of our country,our culture. This is a very new and interesting comment and will give us a good platform to praise the great work done by the mughals and their beautiful architectural mind!
It is really sad and painfull to see our heritage in such a deteriorating stage. I happened to visit the badshai mosque/lahore(once) and when I peeped into one of the cannons(was curiouse),I found them stocked with rubbish!

he mughal architecture is a source of pride for lahore. it depicts a cultural heritage. a lot of foreigners are attracted to our city becAUSE of the architecture. this topic is very interesting and wold bring back to life many of the great pieces of architecture that lay forgotten in the heart of lahore.
Our country is gifted with rich mughal architecture.It is a serious drawback that instead of protecting them,we are adopting every possible means to destroy them.
